Melissa has been known for hundreds of years in Europe, sometimes as Balm or Lemon Balm. Unfortunately, it is one of the most adulterated and copied essential oils and genuine Melissa oil makes up only a small fraction of the amount that is sold commercially.
We are delighted to have found an excellent source of True Melissa oil, produced in very small quantities in Southern Ireland. We also produce a blend of essential oils, including Lemon, Lemongrass and Citronella, which has a similar aroma, called Melissa Type.
